of the former Little T
in July!
Catino's (Tellico Village) 7/19/08 7:00pm - 10:00pm
As always reservations
are a must if you wanta
be on the deck and near
this magnetic, wild,
sensual, shallow breathing,
bubbling, strumming,
vibrating, hard of hearing,
foot stomping, hand clapping,
all old song knowing, semi
talented, charismatic,
young at heart, fine smelling,
house broken band!
themountainfolkreunion.com
often has the number to call
for your reservations.
The kids returned this weekend
(June 21st.) to Look Rock Grill
in Alcoa and put on a show that
is still being talked about
in the halls of the Blount
County jail!
Here be some of the photo
evidence from the gathering.
Make your reservations for
both July events now and
avoid the rush!
Thanks as always to those who
come and bring others!!!!

HOT PARTY!!!
WEST KNOXVILLE summer heat can be
DANG hot but because there is
SO much wealth in the red
brick manses, it is a kinder,
gentler heat.
THE mountain FOLK reunion
Stood in a driveway at
three PM Sunday and rendered their
finest for a heat stroking, dehydrating,
pit staining, joyous group of
community members.
The watch word was FLUIDS
and Banjo Virtuosos, BOBBY WILSON
was dead into the hydration process.
Here he is with just under a gallon
of GIN mixed with a touch of New Port
White Lighting and cleverly disguised
in a University Of Tennessee commemorative
cup!
Gathering under one of the few trees
on the property Vern, Walker and Bobby
gave the camera a big smile
when the woman taking
their picture flashed them!
Behind The Mountain Folk Reunion was a
community band who took the idea of
GARAGE BAND
to the next level!
These guys were very good and on several
of the MFR tunes they added drums and
keyboard. It was great fun having them jump
in and those members of the audience who
had yet to be air lifted to UT really approved
of the expanded sound!
Guitars,
Community, Friends, Great tunes,
Bobby's copious amounts of FLUID
all
blended together to make it one HOT SHOW!
NOW...call Catinos and make
your reservation for next FRIDAY.
Back for more!
The Mountain Folk Reunion
At Catino’s Friday, June 13
Our last show at Catino’s was last fall, and the crowd sang along with us hootenanny-style. We had a blast. Catino’s will again be the place to be this weekend with warm temperatures and some hot tunes. The music selection continues to grow with the addition of “Mrs. Robinson,” “Joy to the World,” “Daydream Believer,” “Delta Dawn,” and “Twist and Shout.” Plus there will be the standards, “MTA,” “Michael, Row the Boat Ashore,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” and more.
Make your reservations early to assure seating on the deck. Call 458-1000. Music starts at 7 p.m., and there is a cover charge.
Catino’s, 222 Lakeside Plaza, in Tellico Village
Folkies to the core, The Mountain Folk Reunion brings back the natural sounds of the Folk Era, performed with high-brow harmony and low-brow humor by Walker Johnson, Vern Lindsey, Kelley Massey and Bobby Wilson. Visit our Web site at www.themountainfolkreunion.com.
